STORM DRAN STENCILING

Reef Relief is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to improving and protecting our coral reef ecosystem.

Reef Relief is looking to get back out into the community by beginning to hold volunteer events and will be starting off with a storm drain stenciling event.  The event serves to inform the public that storm drains lead directly to the ocean, and to encourage the responsible disposal of waste products.

The first stenciling event of 2021 will take place on Friday, February 26th from 10:00AM-12:00PM, and we will be stenciling along Duval Street.

Please wear shoes that are comfortable for walking around in, and wouldn’t mind getting dirty. Please bring water and sunscreen, and your masks. Other materials needed will be provided.

In order to comply with COVID-19 protocols, please wear your mask, practice social distancing while arriving and gathering your materials and with a group of 3-4 people, preferably from one household in order to mitigate risk of exposure.

If you are interested in joining REFF RELIEF, please have your group RSVP by Tuesday, February 23rd to reefrelief@gmail.com. We will be accepting the first 4-5 groups that sign up.

Please remember to report your hours, when done, to: Volunteers@Southernmostcoconutcastaways.com
